Our fast-growing client based Charlestown, MA is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead a critical NetSuite implementation initiative while partnering cross-functionally to drive cost efficiency, strengthen financial visibility, and support key operational decisions. This is a hands-on opportunity to directly impact the company's financial health as we scale inventory and billing infrastructure alongside rapid growth in volume and complexity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 3+ years of hands-on GAAP accounting experience in manufacturing, inventory, or production environments
- 3+ years of recent NetSuite implementation experience, including leading decision-making, process design, and execution
- Hands-on experience in ERP implementations or system migrations, including UAT and go-live readiness
- Proven experience leading end-to-end ERP implementations, including planning, integration, and cross-functional coordination
- Experience with inventory accounting and revenue/billing processes
- Expert reconciliation and data mapping skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies across systems
Responsbilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of a 9-12 month NetSuite implementation, serving as the primary driver of system decision-making, configuration, and integration
- Own NetSuite decisioning, execution, and integration efforts, ensuring alignment with business operations, financial reporting, and scalability needs
- Drive time and expense planning and processing, including system setup, policy alignment, and workflow optimization
- Serve as a senior resource leading the charge on implementation-coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring successful delivery
- Manage company-wide travel and expense programs, policies, and transactions
- Support vendor procurement and payment processes, along with customer revenue accounting (invoicing and collections)
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate cost-related reporting
- Partner with the Sr. Accountant and Sr. Director of Finance to scale accounting operations and best practices
- Develop and enhance cost accounting processes, systems, and controls
- Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and production overhead to ensure proper allocation and compliance
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to monitor material, labor, and overhead cost drivers
- Maintain inventory accuracy through audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Own data mapping and reconciliation across inventory and revenue systems-identifying discrepancies and resolving issues proactively
- Support the buildout of scalable inventory and billing workflows to ensure operational integrity and audit readiness
- Participate in system implementations and integrations, including testing (UAT) and pre-launch validation
- Provide actionable insights based on cost and financial performance analysis
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, with a focus on cost drivers and operational impact
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and internal policies
